OUR STORY
HOW WE MET: (Michael's Words)
It was September 2017, I was scrolling through my phone checking my emails and social media, suddenly the warmest eyes I had even seen leaped off the page. It was a picture of May posting about her solo trip to Alaska. I went on that same trip to Alaska a few months earlier ironically. Even though it was just a picture, there was something magnetic, something familiar about her … it drew me in so much that I was compelled to reach out and send her a sweet note Hi, I had also been in Alaska this past year. I really wish I met you .....
A couple of days passed then my cell phone chimed with a surprising response message from May. The rest is history...
This is how our story began.
Our Story : (May's Words)
Our story began in Fall 2017. Before we met in the city for a dinner on 23rd St, we spent a great deal of time on phone conversations learning stories of one another. I felt captivated with the tone of his voice... Wow how amazing!!! we had so many interesting things in common. We both travelled to Alaska (It would have been so cool if we were on the same cruise). We both love adventures, traveling, exploring new destinations, drones, photography and especially astronomy. Then Winter 2017, I invited him to a remote lodge in Pennsylvania to see meteor showers. He opened his trunk and brought out a giant telescope Meade LX200 GPS. I suddenly had a flashback of my wonderful teenage life in Chicago with hosted uncle who pasted away a decade earlier. I felt so connected with Michael like we’ve known each other before.
Then our story crystal clearly started in the month of Love, February 2018....

From New York City
From the Long Island Expressway: Take the LIE (I-495) to Exit 39 (Glen Cove Road). Follow the service road east for approximately 1.1 miles, turn right onto Old Westbury Road and continue 0.5 miles. Continue past the Garden Gates to 55 Old Westbury Road on your left.
From the Northern State Expressway: Take the Northern State to Exit 32 (Post Avenue). Bear left at the end of the exit ramp and turn left onto Post Avenue heading north. Turn left onto Jericho Turnpike (Route 25) and turn right at the first light onto Old Westbury Road. Continue driving .75 mile to 55 Old Westbury Road on the right.
From Eastern Long Island
From the Long Island Expressway: Take the LIE (I-495) to Exit 39. By Train on Long Island Railroad (From New York City)
From Pennsylvania Station or Woodside Station, Take the Long Island Rail Road to Westbury Station, then a 2.5 mile taxi ride to Old Westbury Gardens, 55 Old Westbury Road, Old Westbury, NY 11568
*Some trains may require a transfer at Jamaica Station.
You may take the Port Jefferson line or the Ronkonkoma line to the Westbury station.
